Dua Lipa (born in London) is an English musician and singer who was born on 22 August 1995, in London United Kingdom. After a stint as a fashion model and songwriter, she decided to sign with Warner Bros Records and release her debut album titled "Dua Lipa" in 2017. It climbed to the third position on the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles including Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at the number 6 spot within the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as a British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Dua Lipa was conceived at the age of 18 in London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). She is of Bosnian origin via her mother's grandmother. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. Her grandparents were historians as well. The siblings of Lipa are Rina and Gjin. The musical influence of Lipa's came from her father who is the lead singer and guitarist of Kosovan Rock band Oda.
